Distribution Plan part 2








As I have researched the traditional distribution plans of magazines such as: Women's Health, Psychology Today, and Health, I have been able to gather ideas for my own distribution plan. One aspect of these magazines that I will use is their subscription option featured on their website. I want to have the subscription done through my website rather than the way Health Magazine does it through Magazine Store. This keeps my subscribers in the family rather than having them go through another company and my company having to divvy out the profit to whoever we are paying to handle the subscriptions. I also want to create an App for my product. This seemed to be a huge selling point and mode of distribution that these successful magazines have used. The App gives the customer mobility with my companies readily available content. Having a contract with Amazon is a must for my magazine. This will allow my product to be digitally and manually distributed by another company. When researching Women's Health Magazine, I discovered the marketing and publishing company they use called Hearst Digital Media. This company's success and investment in so many other famous magazines with the same audience as I have, caused me to want to join their customer base. They truly have the resources and experience to get my product off the ground.
Overall, I have learned a myriad of distribution strategies from these successful magazines for the future success of my product.
