My Target Audience

My target audience is mostly women, but men are included as well. The ages are 18 and up. Health and wellness is an issue that is usually addressed by adults rather than children which is why that is the audience I am targeting. The geography of my magazine reaches mostly women in the United States, but also worldwide, reaching Europe, South America, and Australia. The income level of my audience ranges from $50,000 a year to $150,000. This is because the tips I provide for my audience are for those who cannot afford much, as well as, those who are flexible to spend a little more money on their health. The education level of my audience is those who have either graduated high school up to those who have graduated college. I also want to reach the women and men who are not confident and need that small step to feel more confident. I strive to provide that hope. In comparison with Women's Health Magazine, they put "perfect" women on their cover and ads, which is not what I am aiming to do. I want to feature real people on my cover and ads to appeal to the common woman. Though I do not have the same agenda as Women's Health Magazine in their beauty standards, I will be reaching for the younger audience or older and active with my ads. I will feature exercise equipment and clothing. I will also offer weight-loss plans and certain snack brands that appeal to an active demographic. My magazine will be for the person who likes the science of health and wellness, as well as, practical tips for being and staying healthy. My magazine draws the health gurus and the science buffs together because of my practical and scientific content.
